Hello, glad you found me.  I decided to create this site after much thought on what’s been going on in this country of ours, and the world in general.  The idea for this site has been sitting in the back of my head for a long time, but I never acted on it until now.  A lot of what I’m going to focus on is wilderness survival skills.  Along with developing outdoor survival skill, I’m going to include other areas like urban survival and like in natural disasters and stressful situations, like heavy traffic.  Basically, a website devoted to survivalism in all it’s incarnations.

Most of what I know is from reading books, but I have tried some of what I’ve read in the past, just not consistently or with any thought out plan.

That’s going to change with this site.  I’m going to try all this stuff I’ve read about and give an honest opinion on what I think about it.  No sugar coating, no “oh, it’s so awesome, so you need to buy it” unless I tested it out, and I think it’s worthwhile to own,. This usually means I actually went out and bought it and liked it.  Hopefully you’ll find my experience and opinions helpful and so you won’t have to experience the same pitfalls I go thru.  So welcome and hope you stay awhile and learn something new that’s helpful.

With that in mind, what comes to mind when you think of survival?  Is it being lost in the woods?  That’s what most people would think of when asked about survival training.  Thing is, that’s only a very limited scope of survival situations.  What about the people in New Orleans after the dams broke?  They were thrust into a survival situation that they really couldn’t have planned for ahead of time, but by the same token, there were some steps they could have taken to survive the situation more easily.  Or how about the person who goes off the road at night or on a low traffic highway?  These are some of the topics I will cover on this site.  And if there’s something you’d like me to talk about on this site, just drop me a line.   I’d be more than happy to try and address it.
