Weapons

All things considered, probably some of the most important things that should be in a survivalist’s pack are weapons.  Without weapons, you’re going to be severely hindered in your quest to survive.  When I say weapons, I’m not just talking about something to use against other people.  I’m also including in this category stuff that can be used as hunt, weapons that can be used for self preservation, and maybe even used as a tool. There will probably be some overlap between this category and the tool category, but the real difference between these two categories is the focus of the page in question.  The weapons page might feature tools that can double for weapons, while the tools page will focus more on weapons that can be used for tools.  For example, a hatchet can be used to chop wood or attack/defend yourself.  This section would focus on what type of hatchet you might select to double as a defensive weapon whereas the tool section would point to what would work better for camp chores.

Whether it’s a sling as a backup weapon, a knife for multiple uses, up to a gun for hunting and protection, without weapons, it’s going to be hard to hunt or create additional tools for survival, and even harder to protect yourself or loved ones.
