This is probably the only category that really could be argued is more important that the weapons category. With a weapon, you can kill an animal and have enough material to make just about any tool you could possibly need in a survival situation, but isn’t it easier to already have that tool available if possible, and almost certainly more durable and dependable?
That being said, what you find here is what I consider tools that if possible, and after your own consideration, might very well find it’s way into your survival kit. A lot of these tools are going to be very general in nature, and reviews of specific items will be included in a future articles/reviews section.
This section is different than the kits section because it’s going to go into more details of what some of those items that might be included in your equipment, whereas the kits section would just list the item. For example, the kit section might just say multi tool, where this section will actually describe what a multi tool is, possibly different brands, and what to look for in a multi tool.
Hopefully this section will guide you in the right direction for purchasing tools that will prove useful in a survival situation.
